Getting started
Snipprompt is a Chrome extension. Install it once, save a few prompts, then press ⌘⇧P on any supported AI site to inject one. The whole thing takes about ninety seconds.
1. Install
Add Snipprompt from the Chrome Web Store. Pin the toolbar icon so you can open the popup with a single click.
# Install 1. Open the Chrome Web Store listing 2. Click "Add to Chrome" → confirm 3. Click the puzzle icon in your toolbar → pin Snipprompt
2. Save your first prompt
Click the Snipprompt icon to open the popup. The first time it opens, it lands on a blank save form — title, body, optional folder. Hit ⌘↵ to save. Free tier holds 10 prompts; the counter at the top-right tells you where you are.
Refactor this {{lang}} function for {{intent}}. They’re prompted at inject time and never persisted.3. Press the chord
Open ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot Chat, Gemini, or Perplexity. Press ⌘⇧P. The picker opens over the page. Type to filter, arrow keys to navigate, ↵ to inject straight into the composer. Esc closes.
chrome://extensions/shortcuts lets you remap. Common fallbacks: ⌘\\ or ⌥Space.4. Sync (optional)
If you only use one machine, you’re done. If you want your prompts on every browser you sign into, upgrade to Pro from the dashboard. Sync is opt-in, encrypted in transit, and stays off until you sign in.
